Cavern of Spirits Amazing Cover

Every once in awhile, a book cover comes along that makes you stop and say. "Wow!" That is the way I felt when I saw this cover for Cavern of Spirits:

I guess it should come as no surprise that the cover was crafted by my good friend, Jackson Tjota. The step by step process behind this cover creation can be found at this link to ArtStation.

Needless to say, I was completely intrigued now. I'd never heard of Carrie Summers before, or Stonehaven League. So I contacted her on FB, and we had a nice little chat about how lucky we are to work with such an creative and considerate artist like Jackson.

This inspired me to pick up Carrie's first Stonehaven League book, Temple of Sorrow, a Lit RPG fantasy. For those who don't know, Lit RPG is a sub-genre of fantasy/sci-fi where the protagonists start off in the real world, but soon find themselves in a the fictional world. The fictional realm could be the world a board game, a video game, a TV show, a book, etc. Typically, once transported, the stakes are high such as, if you die in that world, you die in real life. (Think Ready Player One for example.)

Now that the Heroes series is done, I am hoping to find some free time to actually read, and this book is currently at the top of my list. Anyway, that's it for now. Catch you all back here next month!
