Cairthrellon

Cairthrellon is the last home of the Galinthral grey elves in the great forest of Ruanaiaith, far west of the east-coast towns. Songs call it beautiful and ever-changing, with dwellings high in protected Conschusa trees.

To the outside world the Galinthral “disappeared” after the last king’s dying magic woke the forest against pursuers five hundred years ago; the city itself did not vanish, but the roads to it did. Glolindir left Cairthrellon for the wider world — that is Book 1’s door into the place.
